How to ask
Any Senis volunteer can ask to leave the campaign and have their information deleted. There are two ways, and both work:
- Tell your team leader or ward co-ordinator. Say you want to leave and have your details deleted. They pass the request to campaign HQ.
- Email support@senis.app from any address. Include your name and the mobile number you signed in with, and say you want your account deleted. You do not need the app installed to do this.
What happens straight away
As soon as HQ processes your request, your account is switched off:
- You can no longer sign in, and your invite cannot be re-used.
- You are removed from every team list and leaderboard.
- Notifications to your phone stop.
What is deleted
Within 30 days of your request we delete the records the campaign holds about you:
- Your volunteer profile — name, mobile number, photo, ward and role.
- Your messages in team threads, and any photos and voice messages you sent in them.
- Survey, consent and conversation records tied to your number.
- The notification address for your phone.
What is kept
- A short log entry saying a deletion was carried out — without your details — so the campaign can show the deletion happened.
- Anonymous totals, like "surveys collected in a ward", which no longer point to you.
Separately from deletion requests, the platform deletes raw records automatically after 180 days and sensitive records after 30 days for everyone.
Good to know
- Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account — use one of the two ways above.
- Deletion is permanent. If you want to volunteer again later, a team leader will need to register you with a fresh invite.
- If anything is unclear, email support@senis.app and a person from HQ will help you.
